Bubbles
Hey there, I have been MIA for the last few days. We took a mini vacation (4 night/5 day) to the Marriott Coronado Island resort in San Diego and had a blast. We hit Legoland, the zoo (twice), USS Midway, Old Town (AMAZING food), Seaport village, Wild Animal Park, Gaslamp, the beach...we did a lot! It was so fun and relaxing if you can believe that. More about that later, I haven't even uploaded the pictures yet:)
Marc had a work dinner one night a couple weeks ago and so the kids and I played bubbles in the front yard after dinner. They were being so cute I had to get the camera out. Here is what transpired...

Memo board...now coolest hair clippy holder
I have been on the lookout for something like this for all of Niya's hair things and I finally found it on Etsy! I love that I could personalize it. I got to pick the fabric, buttons, and the colors (to match her room). It is SO cute and now her stuff is not hiding in the closet and we actually use it...just another plus to being more organized! Here is where I got it...http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12363020.

Newborn and Family shoot
I had a shoot this weekend with a wonderful family with a 2 year old boy and a 2 week old girl. They were so fun. It took brother all of 5 minutes to warm up to me and then he was showing me around the house and his Gatos (Spanish for cats...learned something that morning!!) The baby did not cry once, not even a wimper...so chill, she was awake the entire time too! I think she fell asleep only on the way to the park...car rides put any baby to sleep. We had a great time, it was super fun hanging out and capturing some images for them. Here are some of my favorites!

I love this series...who do you think he is mimicking, Mom or Dad?

They had a great chair in their family room so I took advantage of that!!!

Summerfest
Every June a local church does their huge fundraiser, a carnival, and we always go and have a great time. Macguire always enjoys the rides and so far Niya has pretty much hated them. This year was different!! She was running from ride to ride, pointing at the ones she wanted to go and and ACTUALLY going on them all by herself. It was so nice to see her growing up a bit. Here are a few shots from the day.
Macguire always wants to start with the cake walk, we haven't won one yet but he tries every year.

She is on the ride by herself AND smiling!!! HUGE step for her...our little girl is growing up.

Last day of Mommy and Me
Niya is getting to be such a big girl. I took some pictures at the last day of Mommy and me. We did this class together every Friday for 2.5 hours for the school year. Niya LOVED, LOVED it. And I just don't have enough nice things to say about the teacher. She is truly amazing. Here is Niya making her Daddy's father day card, the project for that day.

Niya didn't want to sit in my lap for circle time, this is her best buds Mom. You may recognize her from the maternity shoot.

Trying all the bikes/scooters on for size.

Niya's best friend, you will recognize her from Girls Day Out a couple of posts ago.

Trying to catch the elusive bubbles.
